The Number of Foster Youth That Need Your Support

Since Foster Carriers’ first fundraiser in February 2007, volunteers have distributed  ~300 pieces of luggage to foster children in San Diego, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties. In addition to distributing luggage, Foster Carriers President and CEO, Lisa Madden, has given inspirational talks to foster youth and their caretakers throughout Southern California at agencies such as Voices for Children, San Pasqual Academy, San Diego Youth and Family Services, San Bernardino County Health and Human Services, La Cuna and FOCUS.

Currently, over 70% of the funds generated from fundraising goes directly to the purchase of luggage and personal items. 20% of our funds go to educational support such as GED materials for foster youth that have not yet graduated. 

Volunteers provide the manpower that keeps Foster Carriers going. These dedicated volunteers are working hard to expand our support base in order to serve foster children throughout California. Foster Carriers also hopes to branch out to other States in the years to come.
